Last Three Months of invoice totals

i want my sp to return say for today nov 23rd 2004, three columns of totals being:
(total) (total) (total for month so far)
feb 2004 mar 2004 apr 2004
60,000 45,000 38,000
the base table would contain invoice details with, amongst other things, date, amount, manager etc
