Largest tables

Hi,
Is there an easier way to determine which tables in a db are the largest other than running sp_spaceused for each table? Interested mainly in physical size.
ThanksRun DBCC UPDATEUSAGE (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/tsqlref/ts_dbcc_24rp.asp) to bring your statistics up to date, then you can use:SELECT so.name, 8 * Sum(si.reserved)
FROM dbo.sysobjects AS so
JOIN dbo.sysindexes AS si
ON (si.id = so.id)
ORDER BY 2 desc, 1for a good estimate.

Largest SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Ed. Databases

I like to obtain information on several of the largest
SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition databases? With the
hardware specification and disk space (SAN, LUN, etc.)
they are using.
Also would be helpful the average number of transactions
per minute the server is handling.
If the application used a third party utility to enhance
application scheduling?
I would like to obtain this information for trading floor
application that I'm am working on.
Thanks,
MikeHi,

Largest character data type?

I thought "text" was the largest, as the documentation says the max length
is (2^31)-1
But I can only fit 8000 characters in before it truncates, but even then it
is not exactly 8000 characters, but more like 1000.TEXT is the largest data type. Where do you see the truncation happening'
If it is in Query Analyzer, you need to expand the number of display
character (max is 8192). Your application will never truncate the content of
the TEXT data type.

I see this from the table view, when I 'return all rows' I can scroll
through the field, but it only seems to have stored to a certain point.
The result is visible here:
http://www.wmjackson.cable.nu/website/goto.aspx?id=0|||That must be a limitation with Enterprise Manager. The data will not be
truncated.

Actually, that makes sense.
